LUCIA is the Spanish name equivalent of LUCY in English. The name LUCY holds a near and dear personal significance for the artist and it is also the name of one of the oldest discovered fossils.

Why did the Artist Phyllis Sanfiorenzo Create LUCIA?
Phyllis created LUCIA in memorial to her deceased mother who first sparked her interest in Anthropology and fossil discoveries by purchasing her first subscription to National Geographic Magazine at a young age!
